The start of a new year is a good time to review your development skills in preparation for the exciting year ahead.

In  2016 I was fortunate to attend an SPTech conference and found the session full of good ideas and techniques. One of those areas was expanding the value of your SharePoint development with Power BI.

If you’ve previously researched Power BI from Microsoft it’s worth a revisit as it has undergone important updates and this article does a good job of explaining the current version, including the free version and powerbi.microsoft.com and how to build your first display.
